Ajax IndoorCam 4MP Wi-Fi Security Camera – White is a 4MP indoor Wi-Fi security camera with PIR motion detection, built-in Ajax AI, smart IR illumination and two-way audio. It can distinguish people, animals and vehicles and records mainstream video up to 2688 × 1520. The camera connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and can pair with a compatible Ajax hub as a backup communication channel. Video is viewed through Ajax apps and can be stored on an Ajax NVR or in Ajax Cloud Storage; there is no microSD card slot.
Description
For indoor Ajax video surveillance, Ajax IndoorCam 4MP Wi-Fi Security Camera – White combines a 4MP camera with PIR sensing, AI object recognition, smart IR illumination and two-way audio.
The camera records mainstream video up to 2688 × 1520 and uses smart IR illumination to maintain visibility when ambient light is low. Ajax AI can distinguish people, animals and vehicles, while the PIR sensor adds a dedicated motion-sensing layer. A built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way communication through Ajax apps.
IndoorCam connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and can be paired with a compatible Ajax hub as a backup communication channel. Live video and archive access are handled through Ajax apps, keeping the camera alongside intrusion, automation and other Ajax devices rather than requiring a separate CCTV interface.
For recording, IndoorCam uses an Ajax NVR on the same network or Ajax Cloud Storage where available; there is no microSD card slot. Because the camera is intended for indoor use only, installation should prioritise reliable Wi-Fi coverage, a clear field of view and a position away from direct sunlight or other conditions that could affect operation.
Choosing the right Ajax model
IndoorCam is particularly useful where the camera needs to do more than provide a passive live feed. The dedicated PIR sensor adds a physical motion-detection layer alongside Ajax AI classification, while the microphone and speaker allow two-way communication through Ajax apps. This makes it well suited to reception areas, offices, internal retail spaces and rooms where visual verification and communication are both useful.
There is no microSD slot, so recordings are stored through Ajax NVR or Ajax Cloud Storage. That makes IndoorCam a better fit for centrally managed Ajax systems than for isolated standalone recording. Stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage should be treated as a core installation requirement.
