Don’t worry — it happens to the best of us!
Do you want to return or exchange something? No problem. Our returns policy is designed to be straightforward and fully aligned with UK consumer protection law and our published terms with Google Merchant Center.
Return window
You may return eligible items within 30 calendar days of receipt for a refund or exchange. Items must be unopened, unused and in their original undamaged packaging, with all accessories, manuals and any free gifts received with the order, along with proof of purchase.
This 30-day return window is in addition to your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, which entitle you to cancel most online purchases within 14 working days of receipt.
How to start a return
- Contact us at returns@evolution-ee.com or via the Contact Us page within 30 days of receiving your order.
- We’ll provide a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) and the return address.
- Send the item back to us, securely packaged, with the RAN clearly marked on the outside of the parcel.
Please do not send items back without first contacting us — unauthorised returns may be refused or delayed.
Return shipping cost
Return postage is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit on their way back to us.
If the item is faulty, mis-described or sent in error, we will cover the return shipping cost — please contact us first so we can arrange this.
Restocking fee
A 20% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns (change-of-mind, no longer required, ordered in error). This covers the cost of inspection, repackaging and returning the item to saleable condition.
No restocking fee applies to faulty, damaged or mis-described items.
Refund processing time
Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds are processed within 3 working days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to credit the funds to your account.
Exchanges
We’re happy to exchange items for a different model, size or specification, subject to availability. Standard return conditions and the 30-day window apply. If the new item is of higher value, you’ll be invoiced for the difference; if lower value, we’ll refund the difference within 3 working days of receiving the original item.
Items that cannot be returned
For hygiene, safety, technical and contractual reasons, the following items are excluded from our standard returns policy:
- Products supplied in blister packs or other see-through tamper-evident packaging once that packaging has been opened
- Testing meters and satellite meters
- Custom-made items or any items modified to your specification
- Products with a manufacturer’s warranty seal or security seal that has been broken
- Software, firmware and licence keys once activated or registered
- Consumable items that have been used, such as smoke-detector test aerosols
This list does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or mis-described goods.
Faulty or damaged goods
If your order arrives faulty, damaged or different to what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll arrange a replacement, repair or full refund — including the return postage — in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
