Description
Rako Wired Switch Interface
The Rako WCM-D is a compact wired switch interface that allows installers to use custom or third-party switch plates in place of standard Rako wired keypads (such as WCM, WK-EOS, WK-MOD). Designed to fit neatly inside a UK single-gang back box, the WCM-D provides up to eight switch inputs, supporting both momentary and latching switches.
The unit connects directly to the Rako Wired Network via an 8-way screw-down CAN bus terminal, while the 10-way input terminal accepts short wiring runs to the switch plate. As noted in the datasheet’s advisory note (page 1), cable lengths should be kept below 300mm to avoid electrical noise and ensure reliable operation.
Featuring a robust design and flexible functionality, the WCM-D supports a wide range of control options, including scene selection, level and fade toggles, room and channel raise/lower, and whole-house commands. Its slim 64×40×15mm profile and lightweight 29g build make it easy to install in both retrofits and new builds.
Certified to RoHS, UKCA, CE, and EN 60669-2-5:2016, the WCM-D is powered from the Rako Wired Network (12–18V DC) and communicates over the CAN bus, ensuring dependable performance across modern smart-lighting systems.
