Description

The Ajax CombiProtect U Jeweller is a wireless PIR motion and glass break detector with an integrated microphone, combining two essential security functions in a single device. Designed to meet strict UK standards, it delivers reliable motion detection up to 12 metres and glass break detection up to 9 metres, covering a 180° angle. Its advanced SmartDetect and DualTone algorithms minimise false alarms by distinguishing between genuine threats and common background noises, while temperature compensation ensures accurate detection in varying climates.

The motion sensor uses a high-quality PIR element from Excelitas Technologies and a precision-engineered Fresnel lens to accurately detect human movement while ignoring pets up to 20 kg and under 50 cm tall. For glass break detection, an electret microphone works with a two-stage detection process, requiring both low-frequency impact and high-frequency shattering sounds within 1.5 seconds to trigger an alarm. Sensitivity for both motion and glass break sensors can be easily adjusted through the Ajax app.

Built for stability and longevity, the CombiProtect U Jeweller operates for up to five years on pre-installed, rigorously tested batteries. It communicates with an Ajax hub or range extender via the secure Jeweller radio protocol, offering up to 1,700 metres of range in open space, encryption, frequency hopping, and device authentication to prevent jamming or spoofing. Continuous self-diagnosis, tamper detection, and instant event notifications ensure uninterrupted protection and quick responses to any attempt at sabotage or malfunction.

Installation is quick and straightforward with the SmartBracket mounting panel and QR code pairing, requiring no disassembly. All configurations can be managed remotely, reducing the need for on-site visits. Fully compliant with EN 50131 Grade 2 and PD 6662:2017, the CombiProtect U Jeweller integrates seamlessly into the Ajax ecosystem, making it ideal for securing homes, offices, retail spaces, and industrial sites with professional-grade dual detection in one compact device.
